Glasshaven Demo

08 Nov 2018

Reading time ~1 minute

About the Game

Glasshaven is a psychological mystery and horror game. The world of Glasshaven functions by strange rules; the Gods are feared rather than revered, citizens worship an immortal prince who lives in a barren castle, and parents die when their children no longer need them. Over the course of the game, the player explores the world of Glasshaven and learns its secrets. Which characters the player unlocks–and what happens to those characters–depends on the player’s choices.

The demo includes three playable chapters: the prelude, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2.

Content warnings for death, violence, and suicide ideation. This game also includes brief flashes.

  • Download zipped folder
  • Extract files

Code

This game was written in Python, using the PyGame library
This is an old project, so I don’t have the code on my GitHub, but it’s available upon request

Additional Info

  • You can click on Prelude, Chapter 1, or Chapter 2 to play that chapter. I suggest playing them in order.
  • You can replay chapters, but you have to quit out of the game and start it up again to do so.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
I made this demo as a project for my first-ever programming class. As such, the code has a lot of bugs. If you’d like to see a more recent example of my games, check out Monstrous

As always, feel free to email me at dykiel.daniel@gmail.com with comments/suggestions!
